Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join a mission-critical project for the Department of Justice's National Security Division (NSD). The ideal candidate will have expertise in SCCM and Endpoint Management, with a strong focus on the provision, administration, and monitoring of endpoint services across classified environments.

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing system operations, including hardware, OS, and utilities on all servers and computer systems. They will also ensure the ongoing health and viability of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), including configuration, patch management, troubleshooting, and version upgrades.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provision, administer, and maintain endpoint services across two classified enclaves.
  • Manage system operations, including hardware, OS, and utilities on all servers and computer systems.
  • Ensure the ongoing health and viability of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), including configuration, patch management, troubleshooting, and version upgrades.
  • Implement updates, patches, and builds to maintain system security across the network.
  • Serve as Tier 2 support, resolving complex issues beyond Tier 1 staff capabilities.
  • Work with vendors on COTS/GOTS applications to ensure functionality.
  • Analyze technical and business requirements, providing practical solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients and leadership to ensure the successful delivery of project requirements.

Required skills and experience include:

  • 5+ years of expertise in SCCM (preferably version 2303).
  • Experience in server management, patch management, and automation (PowerShell scripting preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 10, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Experience with endpoint imaging and system deployment.
  • Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI.

Piper Companies offers a competitive salary range of $160,000-$175,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and 401K. The ideal candidate will be based in Washington, D.C. and will be required to work core hours from 10 am to 3 pm EST.
