As a key contributor in the loan origination framework, the Loan Processor plays an essential role in ensuring that all requisite documentation is meticulously prepared, validated, and submitted to promote the seamless processing of real estate loans. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, robust organizational capabilities, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Application Assessment: Conduct thorough reviews of loan applications and accompanying documents to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
- Documentation Validation: Confirm income, credit history, property appraisal, and other pertinent documentation to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory mandates.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the intermediary between borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders to collect necessary documentation and information.
- Loan File Organization: Maintain and structure loan files, ensuring all required documents are included and systematically organized.
- Underwriting Assistance: Support underwriters by preparing files and ensuring all information is precise and current for the underwriting decision-making process.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all loan processing activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, in addition to company policies.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve any challenges or discrepancies that may occur during the loan processing phase.
- Closing Document Coordination: Prepare and manage the final loan closing documents, ensuring all conditions are satisfied and the closing process is executed smoothly.
