Critical Care Nephrology Specialist

At DAVITA, we are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nephrology Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced RN to provide critical care to patients in an acute hospital setting, leveraging their nursing skills to assess and manage the care of critically ill patients. The ideal candidate will have a current RN license, willingness to work flexible hours, and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.

As a Critical Care Nephrology Specialist, you will work autonomously alongside hospital staff and be involved in various renal therapies, providing dynamic and lifesaving dialysis treatments. You will also have the opportunity to leverage your nursing skills across multiple renal therapies: peritoneal, continuous renal replacement and apheresis.

  • Competitive Salary
  • Estimated annual salary: $85,000 - $110,000

In this role, you can expect to use your critical care thinking skills to educate patients and families on their treatment plans. You will also have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with no two days being the same. Your schedule may vary, but you will typically be working between 32-40 hours per week during training.

Requirements:

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where practicing
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule with mandatory overtime required due to the nature of the acute treatment you are providing
  • Ability to travel to multiple hospitals within a given area
  • Experience assessing, troubleshooting, and making sound recommendations in stressful situations
