Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general/specialized work functions associated with animal control, including responding to animal-related calls, investigating animal bites, and enforcing animal control ordinances.
  • Provide animal care and handling services, including transporting animals to shelters and providing basic care and feeding.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies, animal shelters, and other stakeholders to ensure effective animal control services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve animal control services, including education and outreach programs.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to animal control activities.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in animal control or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle safely.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
