About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team in Downers Grove, Illinois.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position that requires 40 hours of work per week, with a shift schedule of days. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab setting and possess a strong understanding of PTCA and EPS procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain complete documentation of cardiovascular procedures
  • Participate in in-services, continuing education, and workshops to stay up-to-date on new procedures and technologies
  • Ensure the maintenance of quality control in all areas of the lab
  • Provide a secure and safe environment for patients and staff
  • Assist with new staff orientation within the department
  • Act as a role model within the department, serving as a resource person for all clinical activities
Requirements
  • Current License in the state of IL as a RTR, RTN, RCVT, or Paramedic (EMT-P)
  • ACLS, IABP, and RCIS certifications within two years of employment
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance and use patient handling equipment when necessary
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call
