About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team in Downers Grove, Illinois.

This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek, offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional, highly technical nursing care to cardiovascular patients
  • Assist physicians during cardiovascular procedures, operating technical equipment as needed
  • Maintain complete documentation of procedures and participate in in-services, continuing education, and workshops to stay up-to-date on new procedures and technologies
  • Ensure a secure and safe environment for patients and staff, identifying and mitigating safety hazards
  • Assist with new staff orientation and serve as a resource person for clinical activities
Requirements
  • Typically requires 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience, with demonstrated proficiency in PTCA and EPS
  • AAS in RTR or RTN license, or a minimum of 5 years of experience as RTR or RTN
  • Minimum of 12 CEU hours per year
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with ability to anticipate patient and unit needs
  • Ability to teach procedures to staff and work in a high-stress environment
  • Current License in the state of IL as a RTR, RTN, RCVT, or Paramedic (EMT-P)
  • ACLS, IABP, and RCIS certifications within two years of employment
