We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Director to lead our dietary department in a Long Term Care facility in Taylor County, WV. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care, and maintaining a safe and healthy food environment.
Responsibilities- Direct the culinary team to ensure efficient and effective food service operations.
- Develop and implement menus and recipes that meet the dietary needs of our residents.
- Supervise and train culinary staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent resident care.
- Monitor and maintain quality food services, including cooking, tasting, seasoning, and serving food.
- Communicate with ancillary departments and culinary staff to ensure seamless operations and resident satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with established departmental policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Manage resources and budget to ensure efficient and effective culinary operations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the culinary team to promote a positive and productive work environment.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Previous cook experience in a healthcare environment.
- 2-4 years management experience preferred, but we are willing to train and develop the right candidate.
- Certified Dietary Manager preferred.
- ServSafe certification preferred.
- Prior experience utilizing computers, preferably for Nutritional Care software applications.
