About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Team Leader to join our client's team in Austell, GA. As a key member of the logistics team, you will be responsible for managing the logistics activities, including inventory control, transportation, logistics planning, and order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the site logistics budget to improve year-over-year performance against metrics.
  • Coordinate and manage operational redesign projects to improve performance and meet customer needs.
  • Monitor fixed assets and coordinate implementation of approved capital improvement projects in the functional area.
  • Compile and report logistics metrics to the Leadership team on a monthly basis.
  • Resolve quality, service, and cost issues.
  • Oversee and manage inventory levels and carrying costs.
  • Manage and execute annual Ocean Transportation RFQs and Contracts.
  • Communicate logistical challenges and risks to Procurement regarding delays in transit time, port congestion, or other issues affecting on-time arrivals of product.
  • Manage and coordinate Government Audits and Yearly Documentation submissions such as CTPAT and FSC.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business, or a related field of study.
  • 3-5 years of experience leading a team in manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, or a related environment.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite, Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Experience with Ship Hawk is a strong plus.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, think critically, and work well in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
