Industrial Design Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team at Selectek. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for creating designs and technical documentation for mechanical devices and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish machinery requirements and determine automated processes.
- Design and manage complete machine assemblies while maintaining company design procedures.
- Deliver design presentations to internal and customer teams to ensure all requirements are satisfied.
- Track design progress of multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously and ensure design consistency.
- Create documentation for the machine build process.
- Interact and cooperate with other departments, including Machining, Welding, Purchasing, and Assembly.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical design.
- High mechanical aptitude and complex problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or similar software.
- AutoCAD, Macros, Visual Basic, and Excel skills are desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Machining and assembly experience is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
$30-$40 per hour. Temp-to-hire opportunity.
