About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health Specialist VI to join our team at the Texas Military Department. As a Military Behavioral Health Counselor, you will play a critical role in providing mental health services to our service members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical treatment services to service members, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to promote mental health and wellness.
  • Develop and implement mental health programs to support service members and their families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide training and education to service members and their families on mental health topics.
Requirements
  • Master's or PhD degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field.
  • 4 years of experience providing clinical treatment services as an independently licensed provider.
  • Licensed by the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Experience working with military populations and knowledge of military culture.
