Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at CommuniCare Health Center. As a key member of our behavioral health department, you will provide high-quality counseling services to individuals, families, and groups, ensuring a comprehensive service plan is developed to meet each patient's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide screening, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients, ensuring a comprehensive service plan is developed and implemented.
Document all encounters, including screening, individual, family, and group counseling sessions, and ensure accurate coding and billing of patient encounters.
Maintain productivity at or above the 90th percentile and provide excellent clinical outcomes based on patient panel performance.
Ensure adequate clinician coverage within the clinics during operating hours and provide quality control of the behavioral health department, including compliance with accreditation standards.
Provide consultation to provider staff to ensure proper interdepartmental support and full integration with all Behavioral Health Services staff and other providers throughout the Center's primary care departments and clinic sites.
Document all outcome measures for the BH program, including the Patient Health Questionnaire-9, the Vanderbilt ADHD Scale, and other outcome measures implemented in the course of practice.
Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and Center activities to pursue the mission and vision of the Center.

Requirements:

Master's in counseling or a counseling-related field from an accredited college or university.
Licensed to practice in the State of Texas.
Thorough knowledge of parenting issues, communication skills, family dynamics, brief and focused psychotherapeutic interventions, such as cognitive behavioral and problem-based counseling.
Ability to work well with all staff, community, and volunteers, and plan and organize work with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural diversity, and a valid Driver's License in the State of Texas.
Preferred bilingual in English and Spanish, and certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Finger dexterity, normal fine and gross motor control of fingers and hands, and the ability to accurately view computer monitors.
Ability to sit 20-30% of the time and stand, walk 70-80% of the time, lift up to 25 lbs, push and pull up to 45 lbs, bend at the waist, twist, and turn along the axial plane.
