ResponsibilitiesThe Department of Internal Medicine for the University of South Alabama is seeking a full-time board-certified/board eligible Rheumatology Physician to provide patient care in general rheumatology clinic, outpatient procedures, and inpatient consultation. The successful candidate will also assist with inpatient general internal medicine teaching services at our hospital. Applicants must have an MD or equivalent and be eligible for licensure in the State of Alabama. Applicants with credentials to support the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor will be considered.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and other healthcare providers
- Commit to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning and patient care environment
We seek applicants with an understanding of the medical, educational, clinical, and administrative issues for Internal Medicine residents and 1st-4th year medical students at a small medical school. The successful candidate will assist with the residency program needs and quality improvement programs. There are expectations for career advancement through the academic promotions process.
