Job Summary

The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of South Alabama is seeking a full-time board-certified/board eligible Rheumatology Physician to join our practice.

Primary responsibilities include providing patient care in general rheumatology clinic, outpatient procedures, and inpatient consultation.

Providers may be asked to assist with inpatient general internal medicine teaching services at our hospital.

Applicants must have an MD or equivalent and be eligible for licensure in the State of Alabama.

Applicants with credentials to support the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor will be considered.

Responsibilities

We seek applicants with an understanding of the medical, educational, clinical, and administrative issues for Internal Medicine residents and 1st-4th year medical students at a small medical school.

Successful applicants will assist with the residency program needs and quality improvement programs.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and other healthcare providers
  • A commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning and patient care environment
