Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures. This includes preparing patients for procedures, operating equipment, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures, including explaining the procedure and obtaining informed consent.
  • Operate and maintain cardiac catheterization equipment, including angioplasty machines and fluoroscopy units.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any complications or emergencies.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Active Texas RN license required.
  • RCIS/ARRT certification for CATH TECHs.
  • 5+ years of experience in Diagnostic Cardiac Cath/PCI/STEMI for RNs and CVTs.
  • Special skills/experience required: 2+ years.
Work Schedule

Shift detail: 7A/7P.

Assignment length: 13 weeks.

Shift/workdays: 8 hour mixed shifts (6am to 14:30 / 14:00 to 22:30) where needed.

Weekend – Discuss during interview.

Call requirements: ON-Call: 10day/month (includes 1 full weekend).

Guaranteed hours: 36 Hrs.

Unit Information

Unit: Cath Lab (746).

Floating policy: As needed.

Procedures performed on unit: Diagnostic Cath/ PCI/Structural heart/ TAVR/TMVR.
