Cardiovascular Technologist II

This position is responsible for providing professional patient care and assisting cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and radiologists in performing cardiac diagnostic, cardiac interventional, and invasive radiology procedures. The Cardiovascular Technologist II utilizes the patient care process to ensure safe and competent quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in all procedures performed in the invasive cardiology area.
- Support the medical care of patients requiring cardiac or peripheral catheterization and/or intervention.
- Collaborate with the medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of cardiac anatomy and EKG rhythms.
- Obtain and maintain certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of an approved School of Radiological Sciences or Allied Health Science program.
- One to three years of experience in a hospital setting as a Radiology Technologist or CVT (RCIS).
- Minimum of one to three years of experience in Cardiac Catheterization procedures.
- Medical Radiologist Technologist (MRT) certification through the Texas Medical Board.
- Registry from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS) from CCI.
- Limited Medical Radiological Technologist (LMRT) eligibility or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) eligibility.

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills is a 150-bed hospital serving the fastest growing area of San Antonio. The hospital offers specialized care, including orthopedic and surgical services, ICU, women's services, and comprehensive cardiovascular care.
