Job Title: Senior Field Applications Electrical Engineer

SynQor is seeking a senior electrical engineer with a strong background in power electronics to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled electrical engineer with experience in power electronics to provide technical support to our customers. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of DC-DC converter and AC-DC converter design, as well as the ability to analyze and simulate power electronics systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to customers through email and phone inquiries, including bench testing, analysis, and simulation.
  • Collaborate with the Quality and Reliability team to provide technical support.
  • Develop and write technical documents, including application notes, training materials, and product datasheets.
  • Perform lab testing to support customer inquiries and technical documentation.
  • Design and validate evaluation boards and other test hardware.
Requirements:
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of five years of experience working with power electronics.
  • Strong understanding of analog and power electronics.
  • Ability to evaluate power circuit designs and apply analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of various industrial, medical, telecom, and military power specifications.
  • Ability to use schematic capture and PCB layout software.
  • Experience with simulation and analysis tools, such as MathCad, Spice, Microcap, or Simplis.
