Motion Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our client's growing team and company.

The ideal candidate is passionate about revolutionizing the automation space and has a strong background in electrical design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design systems that can sample, filter, and transform large amounts of high-speed data to drive robotics and industrial automation products.
  • Design core electrical systems including power distribution systems, control boxes, cable harnesses, and electrical enclosures.
  • Specify and design data acquisition systems for acquiring, processing, and logging high-speed sensor data and signals.
  • Design efficient power distribution systems for a wide range of hardware.
  • Design electrical control boxes for motion control applications.
  • Design cable harnesses and enclosures, including thermal analysis.

Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years applicable professional experience in the robotics or automation industry.
  • Expertise in specifying and designing efficient power distribution systems for a wide range of hardware.
  • Ability to design electrical control boxes for motion control applications.
  • Ability to design cable harnesses and enclosures, including thermal analysis.
  • Familiarity with various sensor technologies, data acquisition hardware, and software.
  • Proficient in design and compliance with relevant industrial standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong documentation skills for processes and findings.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
