Chief of Urology

A leading health system on Long Island is seeking an experienced and licensed Urologist to serve as the Chief of Urology in Suffolk County. This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of urologists and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Direction: Provide strategic leadership to the urology department, ensuring alignment with the overall goals and mission of the healthcare institution.
- Clinical Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the clinical activities of urologists and other medical staff within the department.
- Quality Patient Care: Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for the urology department, considering advancements in urologic care, technology, and patient needs.
- Financial Management: Manage the financial aspects of the urology department, including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control.
- Quality Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the quality of urologic services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing measures to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Education and Training: Oversee educational programs for residents, medical students, and other healthcare professionals within the urology department.
- Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of care.
- Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance evaluations for urology department staff, providing feedback and facilitating professional development.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York.
- Board Certified in Urology.
- 3+ years of Urology experience.
- Previous experience in a Leadership and/or Supervisory role.
