Arena Stage Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for individuals to develop skills in marketing and communications while contributing to the organization's efforts.

As our Marketing and Communications Fellow, you will learn how to effectively tell engaging stories across various platforms, developing skills in content creation, analytics, campaign management, public relations, and marketing technology.

The fellowship is designed as a full-time commitment of approximately 40 hours per week, focusing on learning and contributing to the organization's marketing efforts. You will have opportunities to develop skills in various areas of theater marketing, including:

  • Content Creation and Strategy: Developing engaging content for social media platforms, tailoring messaging for different audiences and channels, and crafting compelling email campaigns that align with organizational goals.
  • Analytics and Performance Tracking: Using analytics tools (like Google Analytics or social media insights) to track the performance of campaigns, interpreting data to optimize marketing strategies, and reporting on KPIs to assess the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Campaign Management: Managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations, coordinating across teams for cohesive marketing strategies, and gaining experience in earned media through pitching stories, press releases, and managing media contacts.
  • Public Relations and Media Relations: Building relationships with influencers or journalists to amplify organizational messages, understanding ad platforms such as Google Ads and Facebook Business Manager, and exploring CRM systems and automation tools to streamline communication efforts.

A successful Marketing and Communications Fellow should possess strong foundational skills to excel in this role, including excellent written and verbal communication skills to create compelling content across various channels, organizational and time management abilities, and creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

The estimated salary for this position is around $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
