Responsibilities & Requirements

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process in providing nursing care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• The RN is accountable for his/her own professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law.">
• Utilizing organizational resources the RN acts as a patient advocate for the delivery of safe care including delegation of care and participation in performance and practice improvement activities.">
• The delivery of nursing care within the Kettering Health Network reflects the missions, vision, values and philosophies of the organization and nursing departments.">
• The RN must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide quality patient care while prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.">
• The RN will be required to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.">
• The RN will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient information.">
• The RN will participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and new technologies.">
• The RN will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.">
• The RN will provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.">
• The RN will promote a culture of safety and respect throughout the organization.">

Qualifications

Requirements:

• ">
• Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.">
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ACEN or CCNE) if they are a new graduate nurse.">
• Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred (must be completed within 5 years of hire).">
• A nurse who is returning to the acute care setting after five or more years may be required to provide evidence of successful completion of a refresher course.">
• BLS certification.">
• ACLS, NRP, PALS as determined by unit scope of practice.">

Preferred Qualifications

Skills and Abilities:

• ICU/step down experience.">

Benefits

We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including a sign-on bonus up to $30,000 available for eligible applicants. The bonus may vary based on shift and job status. Relocation bonus may be available based on distance of the move. Returning employees must not have been employed with Kettering Health within 6 months of rehire.

About the Location

Southwest Ohio.

Estimated Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000 per year
