We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at North Shore Pediatric Therapy. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality speech-language therapy services to children.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in conducting comprehensive evaluations to diagnose communication and feeding disorders.
- Support the development of individualized treatment plans and goals for each client based on their unique needs and abilities.
- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to help clients improve their speech, language, social, and feeding skills.
- Educate families, staff, and the community on the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) to support a child's communication skills.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, such as pediatric therapists, to ensure our clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Keep detailed records of progress and collaborate with the speech-language pathologist in identifying areas of growth.
- An associate's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance and a state license in good standing.
- Prior experience working with pediatric clients.
- Eager to grow skills in high-demand clinical areas such as AAC, feeding, and childhood apraxia of speech.
- Prior experience assisting in assessments to identify the strengths and needs of each client.
