Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at UNC Health. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for conducting routine procedures and tests using radiology equipment to acquire patient diagnostic data. You will also assist the radiologist in completing intricate radiographic procedures, prepare and administer contrast media and medications, and evaluate the appropriateness of examinations and assess the quality of radiographic images.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts routine procedures and tests using radiology equipment to acquire patient diagnostic data.
  • Assists the radiologist in completing intricate radiographic procedures, including preparation and administration of contrast media and medications.
  • Evaluates the appropriateness of examinations and assesses the quality of radiographic images.
  • Performs patient assessments and provides patient care.
  • Reviews radiographic orders and images and correlates patient demographic information to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment and documents incidents and advises area supervisor of improvement opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one year from date of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $24.13 - $34.70 per hour.
  • Full-time position with 40 hours per week.
  • Exempt from overtime.
