Job Overview

Position: Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist
Shift Schedule: Day shifts, Monday to Friday, consisting of five 8-hour shifts starting at 07:00. Weekend on-call duties are included, with a fair rotation among team members.

Role Summary and Requirements:
The Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist is tasked with capturing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound images utilizing three distinct modes: M mode, color flow Doppler, and two-dimensional imaging. Adherence to the imaging protocols set forth by IACEL is essential. Candidates must hold registration from ARDMS or CCI, or possess an equivalent certification. This role also involves assisting physicians in acquiring images during Transesophageal Echocardiograms. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding and proficiency in diagnostic echocardiography techniques, both stationary and mobile, to aid in diagnosing patient conditions. Efficiently managing patient flow is crucial to optimize time and resources. While general guidance will be provided, the individual is expected to exercise initiative and sound judgment to deliver high-quality services. Commitment to safety practices is a must. Establishing and maintaining positive professional relationships with colleagues, other departments, and medical staff is vital. Competence in performing additional related or licensed functions is also required.

Qualifications:
Experience is flexible; candidates with RCS or RDCS, AE Certification will be considered. RCS certification is available through the Cardiovascular Credentialing Institute. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment. An Associate Degree or Certificate is required, and candidates must be graduates of an accredited Echocardiography program.
