Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit position at Las Palmas Medical Center is a critical role that requires a high level of skill and expertise in providing patient care. As a member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients in the intensive care unit.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the intensive care unit, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- RN licensed in the state of Texas or a compact state.
- BCLS certification.
- ACLS certification (6 months from hire for new graduates or transfers into the unit).
- Experience as a RN in critical care.
- Experience as a RN 1-2 years in med-surg or telemetry.
- TNCC and CCRN certifications.
- Effective communication skills, both orally and written.
- Computer skills.
- Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to move an excess of 100 pounds, with assistance from other staff.
