Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit position at Las Palmas Medical Center is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to promote a positive and supportive work environment.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in critical care nursing.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of unit-based initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- RN licensed in the state of Texas or a Compact State.
- BCLS certification.
- ACLS certification (6 months from hire for GN's or transfer into unit).
- Associates, BSN, or RN Diploma.
- Preferred experience as a RN in Critical Care.
- Preferred experience as a RN 1-2 years in Med-Surg or Telemetry.
- TNCC and CCRN certifications.
- Effective communication skills; both orally and written.
- Computer skills.
- Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to move an excess of 100 pounds, with assistance from other staff.
