Job Title: Financial Planning Specialist

Novul Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Specialist to support critical education and outreach program management activities across the PPBE lifecycle. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your expertise in the Programming, Planning, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process to ensure that the Department of Defense (DoD) CIO's capabilities align with programmatic and budgetary guidance.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in DoD CIO CAEO PPBE efforts, providing strategic advice during internal budget formulation and execution.
  • Support annual budget certification requirements under 10 U.S.C. Section 142.
  • Contribute to the development and publication of the annual Capability Programming Guidance.
  • Participate in the budget formulation for information technology and cyberspace activities.
  • Review and analyze current budget plans and historical data to recommend improvements.
  • Develop and implement tracking and management processes for budget execution.
  • Conduct financial analyses to assess budget performance, identify variances, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders regarding budget status and financial performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience within DoD Space.
  • Strong skills in data gathering, organizing information, and analyzing historical results for forecasting and projection purposes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
