Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
In relation to the Outcomes program for the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute:

  • Conducts comprehensive primary and secondary research analysis on designated quality outcomes initiatives.
  • Compiles and analyzes data on utilization and benchmarks pertinent to cardiovascular disease by collaborating with various hospital departments and partners.
  • Performs literature reviews and maintains organized files on relevant research, initiatives, and industry benchmarks.
  • Stays informed on healthcare reform and its implications for quality measurement and performance in cardiovascular care.
  • Assists in the development of the outcomes program.
  • Collaborates closely with departments monitoring cardiovascular data, including but not limited to Business Development, Clinical Quality, and Surgical Services.

Support for Operations Director:
  • Assists the Operations Director in the formulation and execution of outcomes program initiatives.
  • Conducts analyses to monitor cardiovascular outcomes performance against industry benchmarks.
  • Updates the outcomes reporting dashboard with both qualitative and quantitative evaluations.
  • Supports efforts to enhance monitoring of internal and external quality reporting requirements.
  • Ensures the accuracy and integrity of outcomes data presented on various platforms.
  • Facilitates the development of processes aimed at improving outcomes and performance.
  • Identifies potential issues and formulates action plans as necessary.
  • Leads multidisciplinary teams in process and outcome improvement initiatives when appropriate.
  • Engages with clinical leads on larger outcomes task forces related to cardiovascular programs.
  • Creates and delivers presentations to update leadership on outcomes performance.
  • Provides recommendations for outcomes to be utilized in marketing initiatives.

Education and Communication:
  • Supports the Operations Director in educating leadership and external entities on outcomes performance.
  • Maintains the process for updating clinical teams on performance metrics during quality management meetings.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assists in preparing materials for leadership presentations focused on philanthropic and marketing efforts.
  • Promotes a positive work environment through respectful communication.
  • Engages in ad hoc projects as required.
  • Monitors the performance of initiatives and supports ongoing quality improvements in cardiovascular patient care.
