Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and technical support during complex cardiovascular procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support during catheterization procedures, including preparing and maintaining equipment, and assisting with patient positioning and monitoring.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless execution of procedures.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information and procedure details.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient experience.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a catheterization laboratory or related field.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Work Schedule
We offer a variety of shift options, including 5x8s and weekend rotations. As a traveling technologist, you will have the opportunity to work with our team on a regular basis, with the flexibility to choose your schedule.
