Certified Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide general nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, including bed baths, oral hygiene, and dressing patients.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Collect and transport specimens to the correct departments.
- Report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the licensed nurse.
- Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and meal assistance.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by preparing nursing areas and resident rooms for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Dispose of solid waste and infectious waste according to organizational policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant certificate from an accredited program.
- Current full, unrestricted CNA license in the state of Alaska or currently licensed in another state and must obtain Alaska CNA license within 6 months of hire.
- Current BLS certification.
- 1 year of prior experience as a CNA preferred.
- Knowledge of correct equipment use and infection control measures.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
