Perioperative Nurse Specialist

As a Perioperative Nurse Specialist at HexaQuEST Health, Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care in the perioperative setting. This position requires a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to collaborate with other healthcare providers in assessing, intervening, and reassessing patient symptoms of pain, as well as providing pre-op and post-op care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and intervene in patient care in the perioperative setting
Collaborate with other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans
Provide pre-op and post-op care to patients
Demonstrate knowledge of various surgical procedures and first assist techniques
Maintain sterile technique and perform suturing skills
Participate in postoperative rounds and assist with patient discharge planning
Identify and communicate unusual techniques or instruments with the operative team
Participate in measuring and monitoring Quality Indicators and outcomes
Requirements:
Unencumbered nursing license prior to start date
Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
2 years of experience in perioperative nursing
Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare providers
