About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Fish Pond Surgery Center in Waco, TX. As a CST, you will play a vital role in ensuring the sterility of all supplies and instruments during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the circulating nurse and surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment
  • Ensure the accuracy of sponge, needle, and instrument counts
  • Transport surgical equipment to cleaning areas and assist with reprocessing
  • Use Standard Universal Precautions and personal protective equipment to ensure a safe environment
  • Participate in emergency preparedness drills and environmental hazard surveillance

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Scrub Technician Program with certification
  • Two years' experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations
  • General familiarity with medical terminology
