Cybersecurity Analyst (Internal Threat Operations)

The Role
Enterprise Cybersecurity provides worldwide technology and support to all businesses under the Fidelity Investments umbrella. The Cybersecurity Analyst will primarily focus on investigating potential instances of data loss through actions of Insiders. The role will use investigative and communication skills to identify where a potential incident has occurred and follow standard operating procedures to engage with all business partners to resolve the incident.
Expertise and Skills Required
- Degree or equivalent experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 1-3 years operational experience responding to security incidents in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of cyber security threats and attacks, incident response, network, and host-based control technologies.
- Experience coordinating enterprise endpoint or infrastructure DLP solutions is preferred.
- Ability to respond to alerts in a queue by analyzing data and applying investigative skills.
- Proficient in detailing evidence clearly and concisely for those not in information security.
- Knowledge and experience with systems administration and automation using modern scripting languages such as Python, Perl, PowerShell, and others.
- Experience with using SPLUNK.
- Understanding of Data Repository Architecture (EDMS, SharePoint, O365, OneDrive, etc.), TCP/IP, and Active Directory – Security and Group Policy Design.
- Insights regarding the security threat landscape, especially network and server threats.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
The Team
The Internal Threat Operations team is responsible for detection, investigation, and response to potential insider incidents across the entire firm. We partner with Platform Operations, Security Operations Center, Legal, and Employee Relations to ensure our controls are strong and continually improving, and that any incidents are appropriately reviewed and handled in accordance with employee privacy regulations and legal requirements. Our team members apply strong written and verbal communication to easily work across the business and produce results.
Dynamic Working
At Fidelity TalentSource, our goal is for most people to work flexibly in a way that balances both personal and business needs with time onsite and offsite through what we call "Dynamic Working." Most associates will have a hybrid schedule with a requirement to work onsite at a Fidelity location for at least one week, 5 consecutive days, every four weeks. These requirements are subject to change.
