Overview

Your daily responsibilities will include the independent operation of all ancillary equipment in the lab, which encompasses IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser, and angiojet.

You will showcase your expertise in scrubbing techniques for all diagnostic and interventional procedures, adhere to stringent radiation safety protocols, and positively influence both internal and external stakeholders.

To excel in this position, a comprehensive understanding of diagnostic imaging is essential. This encompasses familiarity with the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning strategies, and the ability to capture clear results for timely and precise diagnoses.

Responsibilities


As a Cardiovascular Imaging Technologist at Dignity Health, your role will be pivotal in delivering outstanding patient care through the execution of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures that aid physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases in the catheterization lab.


Your daily tasks will involve the autonomous operation of all ancillary equipment in the lab, including but not limited to IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser, and angiojet.

You will demonstrate proficiency in scrubbing techniques for all diagnostic and interventional procedures, implement effective radiation safety practices, and make a positive impact on both internal and external customers.

Success in this role requires a thorough understanding of the significance of diagnostic imaging, which includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to capture clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.


Key Skills:

  • Thorough and precise imaging techniques for patient positioning according to the imaging order.
  • Consistent application of sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, colleagues, and yourself.
  • Mechanical aptitude and confidence in troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to prevent equipment failures.
Qualifications


Minimum:

Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited CVT Program is required.
Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
A minimum of five (5) years of current experience as a CRT with hands-on scrub experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
Experience as a cardiovascular monitoring technologist, including but not limited to A-Line and IV insertion and all modalities within the Cath Lab.

Licensure:
Current Radiology License (ARRT) is required.
Current Arizona State License (MRTBE).
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent certification is required.
Current American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications.
