Data Specialist Job Description

The Data Specialist plays a crucial role in the RSS Data Team, working closely with business, QA, and technical teams to manage data deliverables. This position requires a strong understanding of data requirements and the ability to write data requirement stories that integrate with data needed to support business requirements and software deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the RSS Data Team Calendar on the RSO App.
  • Capture and schedule data events, such as Daily, Weekly, Release, CR Activation.
  • Set up a weekly review of all long-range events.
  • Set up a daily review of today/this week's events.
  • Host a daily call with Core Data Team Members.
  • Review VersionOne assignments.
  • Review Service Now CR's.
  • Manage daily tasks.
  • Host a weekly call with all Data Team Members.
  • Set an agenda.
  • Review the release Data Validation Sheet.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to various team members.
  • Maintain a record of Weekly Long Term Data Planning meeting.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Functional, Data or Business Analyst.
  • Experience with MS-Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint to support work activity.
  • Experience with full project lifecycle.
  • Able to pass security clearance requirements of targeted Escher client (e.g., must be US citizen or have a green card to pass security clearance as a government contractor).
Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience with Version One, ALM or ServiceNow.
  • Experience with mailing processes.
  • Technical knowledge/experience a plus.
  • Experience with data driven UI architecture.
