Electrical Systems Specialist

New Flyer is North America's heavy-duty transit bus leader, providing sustainable mobility solutions through transit buses, technology, and infrastructure. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliable operation of our vehicles.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Electrical Systems Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems on our vehicles, including HVAC and mechanical systems.
About the Role:
- You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely completion of projects and meet production goals.
- You will perform advanced electrical theory, multimeter functions, and circuit analysis to identify and resolve complex issues.
- You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of hybrid drive systems and troubleshoot and repair electrical components.
- You will apply safe working practices with electrical systems and adhere to safety policies, procedures, and processes.
Requirements:
- You must have a strong understanding of electrical theory, including AC and DC circuits, series, parallel, and advanced electrical circuits.
- You must have experience with PLC logic and troubleshooting PLC systems.
- You must have intermediate-level computer skills and proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Internet browsers.
- You must have a high school or GED equivalent and an associate degree in automotive discipline, electronics, or equivalent vocational school/job experience combination.
