Job Summary:

As a Medical Assistant at Nuvance Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Medical Assistant - Patient Care Specialist.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and review outside medical records and test results for healthcare provider review

• Assist in preparing and maintaining patient charts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information

• Clean and prepare exam rooms, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients

• Maintain infection control measures and adhere to quality improvement policies and procedures

• Promote a safe and efficient working environment by adhering to safe equipment and supply handling policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Current Medical Assistant certification preferred

• 1 year of experience in a physician office setting

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Working Conditions:

• Regular and routine exposure to a variety of unpleasant physical working conditions

• Frequent exposure to occupational hazards or contagious disease requiring routine precautions
