Job Title: Certified Medication Technician

We are seeking a skilled Certified Medication Technician to join our team at Bellaire at Stone Port Assisted Living Community in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Medication Administration: Administer medications/treatments as directed on the medication administration record (MAR) and treatment administration record (TAR) per physician orders.
  2. Pharmacy Communications: Order all necessary medications and treatments from appropriate pharmacies or notify responsible parties when supply refills are needed.
  3. Medicine Verification: Receive and verify all medicine received is accurate according to pharmacy label and MAR, reporting any discrepancies to supervisors.
  4. Medication Storage: Responsible for proper storage of all medications and dating of appropriate vials or bottles at time of initial opening.
  5. Resident Service Plans: Participate in the development and updating of each resident's service plan.
  6. Personal Care: Provide personal care and general nursing care to residents as needed or assigned.
  7. Vital Signs and Procedures: Perform vital signs, B/Ps, weights, and other trained procedures as directed by supervisors.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Required Registered Medical Aide (RMA) Certification through the Virginia Board of Health Professions.
  • Previous experience with geriatric nursing preferred.
  • CPR certification (training provided).
  • Knowledge of first aid and resident care techniques.
  • Good physical and mental health; neat, clean, well-groomed, and responsible.
  • Pass a criminal background check.
Compensation:

$55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
