As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will:

  • Deliver services in accordance with state regulations and the established care plan, collaborating with the healthcare team.
  • Assess patients' functional abilities through diagnostic evaluations and assist in creating tailored therapy plans.
  • Facilitate effective communication for patients, adapting methods to meet individual needs.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on speech therapy techniques and their roles in the therapeutic process.
  • Conduct patient visits as per the treatment plan, completing progress notes in line with organizational policies.
  • Finalize patient evaluations and develop speech therapy plans adhering to state-specific guidelines, communicating outcomes promptly.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to staff development initiatives as required.
  • Provide training sessions for agency staff upon request.
  • Submit written summaries of patient conditions to the supervising nurse and/or physician at regular intervals.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure in Speech Therapy in the state of practice.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Possession of a current driver's license and vehicle insurance, with access to reliable transportation.
