Join Our Team as a Fleet and Small Engine Equipment Service Mechanic

Horizon Landscape is seeking an experienced Fleet and Small Engine Equipment Service Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing our fleet of over 35 trucks and trailers, as well as 100 plus pieces of small equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Servicing and repairing small power equipment, including cutoff saws, chainsaws, Scag mowers, aerators, and Briggs and Stratton motors
  • Repairing and maintaining fleet vehicles, including passenger cars, pickup trucks, and 1-ton gas and diesel trucks
  • Working with assorted medium-duty equipment, including skid loaders, excavators, vibratory plows, and tow-behind air compressors
  • Performing operations such as changing tires, welding, shop and yard maintenance, and building maintenance
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar role
  • Ability to diagnose gas and diesel engines
  • Able to troubleshoot electrical problems
  • Strong MIG welding skills required
  • Lighting body repair and painting
  • Detail-oriented and skilled in record-keeping and documentation
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Physical fitness to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
