Overview:
This role is responsible for overseeing the flow of materials within the facility by ensuring that inventory levels at points of use, staging areas, and storage locations are adequate to meet production planning objectives. This position facilitates the prioritization of inventory movements with material handling operators to achieve material goals across all areas of the facility. Proficient data entry skills are required to input part numbers and conduct research to track and update the status of components in various supply chain management systems. The ability to interpret technical drawings and production timelines is essential. The role also involves operating a forklift to relocate materials for efficient staging. Immediate communication of material shortages to the cross-functional team is critical. Daily facilitation of the Non-Conformance Material (NCM) process is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily physical counts of purchased and manufactured components.
- Investigate discrepancies in material and inventory levels, proposing potential solutions and resolutions.
- Maintain and update material planning and NCM documentation.
- Prioritize inventory relocations to ensure seamless production operations.
Qualifications:

- Accurately conduct physical inventory assessments, report material quality and quantity issues, and maintain daily inventory records in the supply chain systems.
Essential Functions and Skills:
Education:
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in heavy assembly operations is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- May assist in training new team members.
- Forklift certification is required.
- Proficiency in basic math operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Computer and data entry skills are essential.
- Ability to accurately use measuring tools.
- Capability to work with hands in mechanically oriented tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Willingness to learn and retain new information.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Problem-solving skills to address issues promptly.
- Effective communication skills in English.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and move on concrete for 8-12 hours daily, with the capacity to see, walk, bend, reach, grasp, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, carry, climb (including ladders), and work overhead.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly throughout an 8 to 12-hour shift.
- Ability to maneuver large components (up to 180 pounds) by pushing, pulling, and positioning them as needed.
- Maintain a constant state of alertness while performing duties.
Work Environment:
- Compliance with all required personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory, including protection for eyes, ears, hands, head, body, and feet.
