Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider - General Internal Medicine Clinician

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our General Internal Medicine team at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. As a Same Day Access Clinician, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Face-to-Face services (or Telehealth as appropriate) for patients in General Internal Medicine.
  • Provide in-basket coverage for providers out of the clinic requiring coverage for their absence.
  • Team with nursing and other clinical staff to prioritize, review, act upon, and close messages received via the Results, RX Requests, Patient Calls, Staff Messages, and Patient Portal Advice Requests categories in the assigned providers' inbox.
  • Evaluate all assigned adult patients presenting to the GIM 3M clinic.
  • Obtain an appropriate history and physical exam.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic laboratory and imaging studies.
  • Provide appropriate treatment to all assigned patients presenting to GIM.
  • Obtain consultation as clinically indicated and appropriate.
  • Document the history, physical exam, laboratory and imaging studies, and treatment in the medical record.
  • Provide consulting providers with complete and accurate medical records.
  • Communicate in a timely and collegial manner.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA academic program.
  • National specialty certification.
  • Eligible for RN licensure in the State of NH (APRN only).
  • Eligible for APRN or PA licensure in the State of NH.
  • Eligible for Federal DEA Registration.
  • BLS certification.
