Continuous Improvement Manager

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF ROLE AND CONTRIBUTION TO THE ORGANIZATION: The Continuous Improvement Manager plays a pivotal role in spearheading ongoing enhancement initiatives, facilitating Kaizen workshops, and establishing key performance indicators for operational efficiency. This position collaborates closely with the Senior Management Team to devise, set the pace for, and execute business transformation and continuous improvement strategies. The manager actively engages with team members to foster a Lean culture and cultivate an inclusive atmosphere that promotes constructive feedback to drive meaningful change.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the development and execution of a best-in-class Lean vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures aimed at improving operational performance.
  • Lead the continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and promoting employee involvement.
  • Enhance production cell configurations, line balancing, and workflow to boost productivity.
  • Create facility and production cell designs using CAD software to simulate operational flow.
  • Collaborate with MRP systems to optimize Kanban for effective material management.
  • Drive and support cultural transformation throughout the organization.
  • Educate and train staff on Lean methodologies and tools.
  • Adhere to 5S principles to ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills.
  2. Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Industrial Engineering.
  3. A minimum of five years of experience in Lean manufacturing is required.
  4. Green Belt certification in Six Sigma is mandatory.
  5. Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and standard office technology.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The role involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 50 pounds, and manual dexterity. The employee must frequently reach with hands and arms and occasionally engage in walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and listening. Specific vision capabilities required include close vision and color vision.
