Accounts Payable Specialist III

The Accounts Payable Specialist III will utilize organizational skills, attention to detail, and advanced communication skills to process vendor invoices and payments in a timely manner. This role is responsible for tracking vendors and funds in the Company's accounting software system and utilizing Microsoft Excel. The Specialist will assist with the check-mailing process and provide general administrative support to the team as needed. Additionally, the Accounts Payable Specialist III will support level I and II team members, assist with maintaining process documentation, analyze invoice integrity reports, and assist in audits.

1. Manage high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable duties, including 2 and 3-way matching and securing proper approvals for non-PO invoices.
2. Reconcile invoices to purchase orders through an automated AP workflow system.
3. Ensure timely payments to vendors and resolve any issues through collaborative processes with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Respond promptly and accurately to internal and external inquiries.
5. Process employee expense reports.
6. Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies.
7. Assess and apply Sales and Use Tax rates when applicable.
8. Research and resolve vendor and operation's inquiries and disputes.
9. Assist with internal and external audits.
10. Maintain up-to-date process documentation.
11. Regular and predictable attendance.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with a minimum of 5 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience. A degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred. The candidate should have hands-on experience with spreadsheets, proficiency in MS Office, and data entry skills. Experience with major ERP software is helpful, and previous experience in the construction industry is preferred.
