Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Engineer in Instrumentation and Process Control, you will play a crucial role in advancing the manufacturing processes of ceramic matrix composite (CMC) turbine components. Your contributions will enhance the performance and efficiency of jet engine components.

  • Design and Development: Develop and implement ladder logic programs for Siemens PLC control systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and integrate new processes into production.
  • System Integration: Seamlessly integrate instrumentation and control systems with existing machinery. Formulate and execute automation strategies to enhance quality and reduce costs, while leading data collection and analysis efforts.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify and resolve issues in instrumentation and control systems to minimize operational downtime. Conduct thorough investigations and implement corrective measures as necessary.
  • Calibration and Testing: Ensure the precision and reliability of instruments and control devices through meticulous calibration.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of control systems, including P&ID diagrams, loop sheets, and SEMA drawings.
  • Safety Compliance: Uphold safety standards and regulations across all systems.
  • Collaboration: Engage with engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to optimize system functionality.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory for access to certain information.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with ladder logic programming, PLCs, and HMI applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation.
  • Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Controls Engineering.
  • Experience with Siemens PLC systems and chemical processing.
  • Ability to perform instrument calculations, including valve sizing and voltage.
  • High accuracy in diagnosing and calibrating control systems.
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations.
