About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Director to join our team at the University of North Texas System. As a key member of our Athletics Department, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day compliance activities, including monitoring and reporting on NCAA Bylaws 11-17.
  • Provide support in drafting and submitting waivers and violations to conference and NCAA offices.
  • Supervise interns and student assistants, ensuring they are equipped to handle compliance-related tasks.
  • Develop and implement rules education programs for coaches, staff, and student-athletes.
  • Research and provide interpretations of NCAA rules, working closely with conference and NCAA offices as needed.
  • Manage initial eligibility and admissions tracking for incoming student-athletes.
  • Prepare athletics aid agreements and maintain accurate records in compliance software.
  • Implement the National Letter of Intent program and create resources for efficient workflow.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and develop recommendations for enhancement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Preferred: Master's degree and extensive knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
