About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at TD SYNNEX. As a key member of our Commercial Transactions team, you will play a critical role in supporting the business of the organization by leading the regional Transaction team as directed by the Regional Lead Counsel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Regional Transaction Team: You will be responsible for managing legal issues with a focus on trade practices in IT distribution with minimal supervision.
  • Counsel and Advise Management: You will counsel and advise management on legal problems in the transactional law area and work closely with local management teams in regard to advising and training in the matter.
  • Manage a Team of Negotiators: You will manage a team of individual negotiators and participate in or conduct negotiations and transactions in the area on behalf of TD SYNNEX.
  • Support Legal Compliance Activities: You will support legal compliance activities, focused on the mentioned area.
What You'll Do
  • Develop Policies and Initiatives: You will play an active role as a member of the global legal services team providing input in the development of policies and implementing initiatives and directives within the Country organization with a focus on contract/transactional law.
  • Advise on Legal Aspects: You will advise on legal aspects of TD SYNNEX's business within the country using sound legal and business judgment and experience with a focus on contract/transactional law.
  • Collaborate with Local Management Team: You will collaborate or cooperate with local management team, global legal services team, outside legal counsel in various matters.
  • Communicate with Business Clients: You will communicate and interact regularly with business clients and global legal services team in order to deliver high-value added legal services.
  • Set Work Priorities: You will set work priorities, productivity goals and provide strong customer service focus.
  • Supervise Direct Reports: You will advise their direct reports and supervise their daily operational work.
  • Provide Training: You will provide training focused on contract/transactional matters for the internal clients.
  • Review Contracts: You will assist with the preparation or review of proposed contracts and other legal instruments to safeguard the organization's interests.
Requirements
  • Strong Analytical Skills: You will be able to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment and able to work constructively under stress and pressure.
  • Effective Communication: You will be able to build solid, effective working relationships with others and able to coach others in the development of their skills.
  • Negotiation Skills: You will be able to negotiate persuasively and effectively.

  • Business Acumen: You will be able to prioritize work-load based upon business needs and goals.
  • Leadership Skills: You will be able to conduct presentations and training.
  • Language Skills: You will be very good in business/legal English.
  • Qualifications: You will be qualified legal degree from certified educational institution required and qualified and admitted to the practice of law in the Country.
  • Experience: You will have a minimum of 3+ years in the practice of commercial/corporate law required or in-house experience in transactional work.
