As one of the rapidly expanding warehousing and logistics firms in North America, we are seeking a qualified QUALITY TECHNICIAN for our 1st shift.
Our 1st shift operates Monday - Thursday from 6:30am - 5:00pm, with additional hours as necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseeing quality assurance protocols, evaluating products, and documenting and analyzing data during product development and manufacturing phases.
- Ensuring compliance with established processes and adherence to optimal production practices.
- Monitoring compliance with product quality benchmarks while assessing the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of production output.
- Updating internal records for any Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) activities.
- Completing reports on shift data collection activities.
- Conducting Internal Audits of processes.
- Performing Layered Audits.
- Evaluating new or replacement team member comprehension of their assigned areas.
- Documenting and photographing supplier non-conformance issues.
- Collaborating with supervisors to implement corrective actions and five-phase reporting.
- Reviewing material spills with supervisors.
- Participating in cross-functional five-phase problem-solving teams that directly contribute to the company's continuous improvement initiatives and policies.
- Responsible for on-the-job training.
- Creating and distributing Quality Alerts and Visual Aids.
- Supporting manufacturing cells and responding to quality alarm processes.
- Proficient in utilizing Word and Excel.
