About the Role

As a Lead Piping Stress Engineer at Sanchez Energy Corporation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and safety of our piping systems. This position requires a strong background in stress analysis, piping design, and materials science.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough stress analysis of complex piping systems to identify potential issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement piping designs that meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications and procedures for piping materials and fabrication.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in project planning and execution, including developing project schedules and cost estimates.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in piping design and stress analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Strong understanding of piping design, stress analysis, and materials science.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and database systems related to engineering functions.
