Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Specialist 4 to join our team in the Office of Information Technology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing solutions that meet the agency's requirements, working with IT Architecture staff, CIO, and/or IT Managers to develop expertise in leading complex initiatives and knowledge of organizational improvement frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design solutions that meet the agency's requirements
  • Assist in the analysis of solution design's business case
  • Develop expertise in leading complex initiatives and knowledge of organizational improvement frameworks
  • Edit or create enterprise or IT artifacts, including policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, best practices, and position papers
  • Ensure current and/or future business process flows are defined and documented
  • Conduct detailed alternative analyses and determine end-user requirement(s)
  • Consult with end-users, technicians, vendors, management, and others
  • Lead design reviews
  • Provide post-production support for applications varying in size, scope, and impact to agency operations

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 60 months of combined work experience in providing solutions design, developing project plans, and recommending approaches through defining tasks and/or leading meetings relating to programs for computer applications, including 12 months of work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description and job posting.
