Position Overview

iSpice Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist I to enhance our quality management team.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will assist with various quality assurance tasks and documentation processes. Your duties will include:
  • Conducting daily inspections across production, shipping, receiving, and laboratory testing areas.
  • Managing incoming raw material sampling for microbiological testing and customer inquiries.
  • Facilitating the preparation of daily production documentation.
  • Supporting sensory evaluations in production and blending operations.
  • Assisting with product identification and labeling.
  • Documenting, disposing of, and labeling products that are ON-HOLD or NON-CONFORMING.
  • Collecting and organizing documentation related to production, maintenance, sanitation, and shipping/receiving.
  • Identifying, inspecting, and documenting all incoming raw materials.
  • Reporting any unusual activities related to quality or security.
  • Participating in mandatory training sessions.
  • Adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned, including production duties when necessary.
Remote Work

This position is not remote.

Compensation

Minimum: USD $17.00 per hour
Maximum: USD $20.00 per hour

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
  • Physical endurance and capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to follow directions.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
  • Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations is a plus.
